Healthcare & Medical Practices

Website design and administrative software for healthcare businesses

A public website patients can trust, an internal tool your office actually runs on, or both built together. Every healthcare project is quoted from a written scope — no guessing, no one-size package.

How projects start

Describe your practice and what you need in the free quote request. You get a written scope and price back before anything is built or charged.

Three ways to work together

Pick the piece your practice needs

Each option is quoted separately. Combining them is common, but never required.

  • 01

    Healthcare Website Only

A public website for your practice or healthcare business.

    • Homepage and service pages that explain what you do plainly
    • Mobile-first design patients can read on a phone
    • Contact, request, or referral forms routed to your office
    • SEO foundations: page titles, descriptions, clean structure
    • Your branding, your photos, your words

  • 02

    Custom Administrative Software Only

An internal tool your office runs on — no public website needed.

    • Intake, verification, or request queues built around your workflow
    • Staff login areas with the records your team needs
    • File uploads, notes, statuses, and reporting
    • Replaces spreadsheets, shared inboxes, and sticky notes
    • Scoped and quoted from a written description of your process

  • 03

    Website + Software Together

The public site and the back-office tool, designed as one system.

    • Public website connected to your internal workflow
    • Requests submitted online land in your administrative queue
    • One project plan, one point of contact, one build schedule
    • Each piece can still be built and paid for separately
    • Best fit for practices replacing several tools at once

Real work, live right now

VerifyCallie: a healthcare website and portal we built

VerifyCallie is an insurance verification service for medical practices. SiteByPiece designed and built its public website — the services, the quote requests, the questions workflow — and the private administrative portal its team uses to manage verification work behind it.

The public site is live and open to anyone. The portal is private by design, so internal screens are shared only during a project review, never published here.

Private portal examples available upon review.

A candid word about HIPAA

We do not label anything “HIPAA compliant” by default, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Compliance is about the whole setup — the platform, the vendors, the agreements, and how your staff uses it — not a badge on a website.

A public marketing website that collects no patient information is usually straightforward. Features that would store or transmit protected health information are different: those are only built on a suitable platform, under a signed Business Associate Agreement, with appropriate access controls confirmed before launch. If your idea needs that, we say so in the quote and plan for it openly.

How a healthcare project runs

  1. 01

    Tell us about the practice

The free quote request asks what you do, who you serve, and what the website or software needs to handle. No commitment.

  2. 02

Get a written scope and price

You receive a real quote that separates the website, the software, and any PHI-related requirements, so you can approve pieces independently.

  3. 03

We build in pieces you can see

Work begins after the design fee, with progress you can review as each piece is finished — the same way every SiteByPiece project runs.

A simple practice website can often fit within the published website packages. Custom administrative software is quoted separately, like our other custom business systems.

Healthcare questions, answered plainly

Is this HIPAA compliant?
Not by default, and we will not claim otherwise. A public marketing website normally collects no patient information at all. If your project needs features that touch protected health information, those features are only built on a suitable platform, under a signed Business Associate Agreement, with the right access controls in place before launch. We talk through that line with you during the quote, before anything is built.
How much does a healthcare website or portal cost?
There is no fixed price on this page because the scope varies too much to be honest about one number. A straightforward practice website can fit within the published website packages. Custom administrative software is quoted from a written description of your workflow. Request a free quote and you get a real number in writing.
Have you actually built something like this?
Yes. VerifyCallie, shown on this page, is a live insurance verification services website with a connected internal administrative portal, designed and built by SiteByPiece. The public site is open for anyone to visit; the portal is private, and examples from it are shared only during a project review.
Do you write the medical content for us?
You know your practice best, so your services, policies, and credentials come from you. We help organize and edit what you provide so it reads clearly, and we can help source general imagery. We do not invent medical claims, outcomes, or credentials.
Can patients book or pay through the website?
Booking and payment link integrations are available, the same as any other SiteByPiece website. Anything that would store patient health details inside the website itself is treated as a PHI feature and follows the suitability requirements described above.
